To make the most of the exemplary role of outstanding graduate students, help classmates clarify their research directions, master competition skills, and foster a diligent and proactive academic atmosphere, the School of Design held the 'Research & Practice' National Scholarship Experience Sharing Session on the morning of April 23 in Classroom 1101. The event invited three outstanding graduate students who had won the National Scholarship to share their growth experiences, providing everyone present with a content-rich academic exchange feast.
At the sharing session, three students drew on their own experiences to break down the growth secrets behind the National Award from different perspectives. Wu Bingbing, under the title 'Using the Pen as a Torch, Using Painting as a Chapter—Writing the Path of Research with Brush and Ink,' shared how she combined the features of her design major with scientific exploration across multiple areas like learning practice, competition improvement, and artistic expression, and how she empowered both art creation and academic research, using her professional touch to pave her way in research.
Ding Hao focused on the theme 'Practicing What You Write, Competing to Go Further – Discussing the Practical Methodology of Research Papers and Design Competitions.' He centered on the two core areas of writing research papers and participating in design competitions. Through specific research process examples, he broke down the logic of academic paper construction and the preparation path for design competitions. His content-packed sharing left the students present with a lot of valuable takeaways.
Zheng Nan focused on the theme of 'advancing both research and thinking, practicing through art,' sharing their full process of applying for the national award based on experiences like publishing papers in core journals and participating in research projects. They encouraged students to stay passionate about research, align knowledge with action, and grow through hands-on practice.
This sharing session not only provided students with a platform to communicate and learn from outstanding role models but also inspired young learners to move forward courageously in their research and personal growth through vivid examples from their surroundings. In the future, the School of Design and Art will continue to hold a series of academic exchange activities, helping students explore true knowledge through research and thinking, achieve self-growth through practice, and shine with youthful brilliance in their professional fields.
